Salary: Circa £60,000 – £64,000 (plus £3,000 London weighting if applicable)

Working pattern: Full-time (Includes some limited evening and weekend work, for which time off in lieu will be given)

Job description:

We are delighted that you’re interested in this role – it couldn’t be a more exciting time to join us. We are a new organisation formed out of the merger of Ambition School Leadership and the Institute for Teaching.

This is an exciting, demanding role that will give the post-holder an opportunity to have system-wide impact. It is a leadership team post within our Programmes Division. You will be accountable for the design of all programmes ensuring that they are high quality and aligned with our education model. You will also undertake some direct facilitation on those programmes as required. As a Dean within the Learning Design Team you will manage a team of Associate Deans – Learning Design, act as an external voice for the organisation when required, deputise for your Executive Director when required and take on wider leadership responsibilities across the organisation.

In order to excel in this role, the post-holder will be a global expert in at least one model linked to teacher, school and executive leadership development and can use those models to lead the creation of programmes that lead to transformative improvements in pupil outcomes. Ideally the post-holder will also have been a very effective teacher or leader within a school serving a low-income community. They will be a credible professional, both internally and externally, have strong facilitation and coaching skills, and have experience of managing a large and complex team and its budget. The successful candidate will champion our values and embody them in interactions with colleagues and partners.
